Will Saying Goodbye to Oxford's Bins Boost Recycling Rates?

A recycling panel in Oxford have put forward some solutions to increase the recycling rate in the county, they have come to the conclusion that if bins are removed from the city centre people will be more aware of the problem of littering.  Some ideas they have come up with includes having recycling bins in the shape of drinks cans and offering a waste service to students when their tenancy has come to an end.

No Recycling Please - We're Millennials

Research has shown that despite millennials are more likely to pay for a sustainable product they are less likely to recycle than people in other age groups.  Veolia carried out a survey which found that young people aged 18-24 are the most uncaring generation when it comes to recycling.
