England is on the verge of incinerating more than it currently recycles for the first time. The Green Party argue that incinerations are contributing to climate change and that it is currently holding back recycling rates, despite only one incinerator being under construction for this year.
With China banning the importing of some recycling, many countries are now stuck with the dilemma with how to dispose recyclable waste, especially with plastics. 2 Options are send them to landfill which are slowly filling up, or incinerating, which causes damage to the atmosphere.
