During the summer Germans have drunk so much beer that the breweries are running out of glass bottles, demand for beer is so high at the moment that it is exceeding the rate of the bottle return scheme. One employee told a TV network that one company is sending out company delivery drivers to try and find some empty beer bottles.
Since Milton Keynes Council introduced clear sacks from plastic it has highlighted the true problem of contamination in the area.
